Alexaur Technology Services, Inc. has a current position for a full-time Level 1 IT Support Technician. General Summary
Perform various computer related technical support and maintenance tasks as assigned for clients, both in person and via remote support tools.
Duties will include remote and in person support, therefore effective communication and above average written and verbal communication skills are required.
Good communicator. Promptness and knowing the importance of communication. Eagerness to learn while following procedures.
Position Responsibilities
- Answer Help Desk calls
- Provide Level 1 phone support
- Create Antivirus, Backup and RMM System reports
- Escalate tickets as required
- System, Driver, and Application Patching
- Review overnight patching schedule
- Track and verify patched machines come back online

- Demonstrate respectful written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm and polite in the face of tense customers and situations
- Ability to translate technical matters from geekspeak to lay terms in a respectful way
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet all the required deadlines and expectations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
This role would best suit a junior technology worker with 1-3 years of experience in the computer support industry, who is looking to expand their skill set.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience required with Windows desktop operating systems
- Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting Internet connectivity
- Understanding of relationship between switches, hubs, patch panels and connecting nodes to a network
- Working Knowledge of Wireless Technologies
Credentials and Experience
- 1+ Year(s) experience in IT Helpdesk Support
- RMM experience a plus
- A+ Certification beneficial but not required
- Eager to learn
- Takes direction from Service Manager/Dispatchers/Technicians
Compensation
This is a full-time salaried position. Reimbursements for mileage, parking, and tolls.
PTO, Medical benefits, and opportunities for Training and various Certifications are available after a successful probation period.
