    Job Description
    Position: Data Engineer

    Location: 100% Remote based in the U.S

    Top 3 skills: Python, Java, AWS

    Soft skill: working with the team- critical thinking, troubleshooting skills

    Years of Experience: 5-7 years with 4 years or more in data engineering

    Job Description: Python & AWS development to build, enhance and maintain monitoring capabilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop new monitoring solutions and automations to accelerate issue detection and correction.
    • Monitor pipeline execution for failures or anomalies, using a variety of tools and methods.
    • Maintain and improve data quality scorecard measurements.
    • Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by management from time to time.
    Interaction with team:
    • Liaise with designers, engineers, and support teams to improve data pipeline performance & reliability.
    Work environment:
    • Work independently and collaborate with internal team and cross functional teams via Teams meetings, chat, and/or email
    Education & Experience Required:

    • Associate degree in computer programming or a relevant field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

    • 5-7 years' experience required

    Technical Skills

    (Required)
    • Four years or more of experience in data engineering and/or software development.
    • Three years or more of experience with development, operations, or architecture in a Cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    (Desired)
    • Robust experience with AWS services (S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Sagemaker, IAM)
    • Software development experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C++,
    • Scala, etc.
    • Knowledge of data technology products and components for Big Data and Cloud (AWS, Data Lakes, and similar).
    Soft Skills

    (Required)
    • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
    (Desired)
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex, rapidly changing, and culturally diverse environment
    • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas
    • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where digital is still evolving as a core offering
