Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all building systems (such as, but not limited to telecommunications, heat, electricity, air conditioning, etc.)
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and building and maintenance supplies for the building to meet health and safety standards per NYSDOH guidelines.
  • Inspect buildings' structures and grounds to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.
  • Handle service contracts
  • Keep financial and nonfinancial records for the department.

Skills

  • Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position in an adult care facilities.
  • Wellversed in technical operations and facilities management best practices
  • Must personally have basic plumbing and electrical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Demonstrates maturity, a team approach, and a positive attitude.
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • High School graduate or equivalent. Have a genuine respect and empathy for the elderly. Must be dependable with ability to follow through with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently but able to function as part of the management team.
  • Current NYS Drivers license
  • Proficient in snow plowing

Pay:
$40, $55,000.00 per year
