Position Summary:
Our Senior Living has a community bus and van that are both used regularly depending on the number of residents needing transport.
Drivers are responsible for safe transportation of residents to and from physician or other appointments. They plan drop off and pick up times to ensure timely service. They also maintain the resident transport vehicles in a safe, clean condition.Physical Demands and Sensory Requirements
(With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)
- Must be able to relate and work with the disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile people within the community.
- Must be capable of operating community transport vehicle(s) safely.
- Must be able to assist with the evacuation of residents.
Specific Requirements
- Be a minimum of 18 years or age.
- Must be able to obtain criminal history clearance.
- Maintain patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as ability to handle residents, staff, and visitors, based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
- Must possess a valid driver's license; s and maintain a clean driving record with no major violations over the previous five years.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and no major traffic violations over the previous 5 years.
- CPR certification is desirable.
