ADULT PROBATION DEPARTMENT
JOB TITLE: MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SERVICE COORDINATOR
DIVISION: MIS DIVISION
GRADE: 18 - TEAMSTERS 700
REPORT TO: DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION SERVICES
SALARY: $75,131
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Modify, update and extract reports accurately from a relational database.
- Make corrections to database as needed.
- Maintain computer equipment, printers, scanners, inventories and directories.
- Troubleshoot telecom issues.
- Attend meetings as necessary.
- Clearly and efficiently communicate with Cook County agencies, including Telecommunications Network Control, and Chief Judge's MIS, regarding problems with equipment and applications.
- Field calls from all staff regarding questions and problems with supported applications and any PC/laptop virus or usability issues. This includes providing support to units that operate outside of conventional work hours.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with contracted vendors to troubleshoot application problems and concerns.
- Troubleshoot during evenings, weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.
- Collaborate with the Department's Research Division and other administrative staff to provide data to improve operations and obtain data needed for grants and budget reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of IP addressing and subnets.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of PC and printer hardware.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to create user manuals, materials and conduct trainings.
- Must be able to travel with personal vehicle to all Adult Probation office locations and other agencies within and outside of Cook County.
- Within 90 days of employment, establish residency in the state of Illinois.
- Possess bachelor's or technical degree Information Technology or possess at least two years of relevant experience.

- Demonstrates ability to research technical issues and apply solutions.
- Demonstrates ability and willingness to learn new computer applications and/or systems as they become available.
OTHER DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience drafting and evaluating written Request for Proposals (RFPs) as well as selecting potential vendors.
- Strong project management experience (project management certificate a plus);
- Familiarity with Kaseya or similar IT Management Platform.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- On a continuous basis, sit at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen.
- Be able to perform data entry using a keyboard and mouse for a minimum of seven hours at a time.
- Intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies.
- Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation.
- Must be able to move and lift heavy equipment, 30-pound minimum.
- Able to bend and kneel.
- Use telephone and computer keyboard on a daily basis.
- Be available to work in-person 100% of the scheduled work week.
