Description

Exceptional Healthcare Community Hospital is seeking an experienced and certified Medical Laboratory Tech/Scientist to join its team at the Maricopa facility.

This is a PRN NIGHT Shift position.

Requirements:

Must have at least an Associate's degree in medical technology, chemistry, physical or biological science.
Bachelor's degree preferred

ASCP certified or equivalent:

Minimum 1 year of hospital laboratory experience:
Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, including infection control requirements, chemical and biological hazards

Description:

Areas of testing include hematology, chemistry, coagulation, immunoassay, urinalysis, and point of care.
Uses automated equipment and specialized instrumentation to prepare samples for analysis to aid the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Manages daily workload within the department to ensure patient testing is completed timely.
Reviews quality control results prior to reporting patient results and taking corrective action when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
