Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Coordinates the shipping, receiving, purchasing activities, and housekeeping activities for the Campus Services warehouse.
Travels to local vendors when needed to purchase and/or pick up emergency orders.
Make deliveries to the Oxford Campus as needed.
Determines and maintains appropriate inventory levels for a warehouse or stockroom.
Coordinates warehouse deliveries with various internal customers and Emory areas.
Monitors returns to make sure they are processed in a timely manner.
Determines materials needed for building maintenance, renovations, and special activities and ensures their availability.
Maintains data entry records of shipping and receiving activities.
Interacts with vendors and Procurement Specialist to resolve shipping, receiving, delivery ticket, and damaged material problems.
Maintains routine maintenance of warehouse vehicles and machinery.
Ensures adherence to safety and performance standards in compliance with organizational and federal guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Performs other related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or equivalent, and four years of warehouse, stockroom, or materials management experience which includes experience in a lead or supervisory role, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Positions in this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license, an insurable driving record, the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
NOTE:
Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option.
