    EMI Services is seeking to hire an experienced HR Generalist to join our team, specializing in base and range operations for the USMC, US Navy, US Army, and US Air Force. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing human resources functions, aligning with EMI's commitment to customer satisfaction, safety, and employee well-being. The preferred candidate will possess a strong background in all aspects of Human Resources, ensuring compliance with labor laws and the ability to foster positive employee relations within a unionized environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances, working towards resolutions that align with company policies and union agreements. Conduct investigations into workplace issues and provide recommendations for resolution
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements. Stay updated on changes in labor legislation and advise management on necessary adjustments
    • Union Relations: Collaborate with union representatives to establish and maintain positive working relationships. Participate in negotiations, grievance resolution, and other labor-related processes
    • Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and participate in the recruitment process. Conduct onboarding sessions, ensuring new employees are familiar with company policies and union agreements
    • Training and Development: Ensure compliance of required training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees in line with the company's objectives and legal requirements
    • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related benefits
    • HR Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Minimum of five years of HR experience with increasing responsibility (SCA/Government Contracting environment experience preferred).
    • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations
    • Proven experience in negotiating and working with union representatives
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
