Maintenance Technician-level 1 - Romeoville, United States - GEA GROUP
Description
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and install production and warehouse equipment.
- Design, quote, and oversee facility improvement projects.
- Keep equipment information and maintenance logs up to date.
- Report unsafe conditions to the Senior Director and suggest corrective measures.
- Maintain orderly and efficient tool and repair equipment areas.
- Occasionally travel (5%) to other GEA facilities for hygiene and microsite support.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- 13 years of experience in scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of pump, meter, and valve repairs.
- Basic understanding of single and 3phase motor control circuits.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, air compressor, plumbing, and basic carpentry.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Occasional overthehead lifting.
- Frequent walking within departmental offices and throughout the plant.
- Occasional standing, stooping, bending, listening, talking, hearing, and reaching.
- Occasional stair climbing, ladder climbing, and forklift operation.
- Handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Occasional use of boom and scissor lifts up to 30 feet in height.
