- Coordinates patient care needs withsurgical team members.
- Documents all aspects ofpatient care in accordance with policies and procedures and legalmedical requirements.
- Assists with reviewing,revising, and developing Operating Room policies, procedures andstandards.
- Participates in the orientation ofnew personnel and monitors all personnel in theOR.
- Provides care and monitoring of patientshaving local anesthesia or IV sedation.
- Caresfor pre-op and PACU patients as assigned.
- Workswith physician in specialty clinics asassigned.
- Completes mandatory education andtraining in order to maintain organization and department specificcompetencies and requirements. Maintains applicablecertification/licensure (RN licensure). Maintains required CPR(ACLS).
- Follows hospital and departmentpolicies and procedures with special attention to attendance andpunctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge,and safety.

- Graduateof accredited school ofnursing.
- currentlicense as registered nurse in the State of Ohio. ACLScertification or will obtain within 6 months ofhire.
- Maintainscompetencies specific to patient populationserved.
- Demonstrated knowledge of steriletechniques.
- Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills.
- Three yearsrecent surgical experiencepreferred.
- Requires fullrange of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manualand finger dexterity, and eye-handcoordination.
- Requires standing and walking forextended periods of time.
- Requires correctedvision and hearing to normal range.
- Requiresworking under stressful conditions and irregularhours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/orbody fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of forceconstantly to move objects.
