Job Description

Fluency in Spanish and a valid California License are essential for this role

The Remote Occupational Therapist will be in charge of delivering occupational therapy services to patients through telehealth or virtual platforms. Responsibilities include working with a diverse patient base, assessing their needs, creating treatment plans, and administering interventions to enhance their functional abilities and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being to establish their needs and objectives.
Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans and objectives based on assessment results.
Intervention: Offer remote occupational therapy services, involving exercises, activities, and interventions to aid patients in achieving their goals and boosting their functional capabilities.
Education: Instruct patients and their caregivers on techniques and tactics to improve their self-reliance and overall welfare.
Documentation: Maintain precise and current patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other necessary paperwork.
Collaboration: Work alongside other healthcare professionals, like physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
Compliance: Adhere to pertinent ethical and legal guidelines, such as patient privacy and confidentiality standards.
Technology: Effectively utilize telehealth platforms and tools for conducting remote therapy sessions.
Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in occupational therapy and participate in continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

Occupational Therapy License: Possess a valid Occupational Therapy license at the state or national level.
Telehealth Proficiency: Familiarity with telehealth technology and platforms.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and documenting treatments.
Empathy and Patience: Display compassion and patience when working with patients dealing with different challenges.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Education:

Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

Maintain any necessary certifications and licensure in California

Position is on W2 | Hourly rate of $56.00 depending on experience, qualifications, and bilingual abilities.
