- Identify and execute areas of opportunity for long-form SEO content to increase website traffic and brand authority for potential customers at various stages of the buyer journey.
- Strategize on long-form content distribution via email and social media channels and assist with short-form, direct-response copywriting as needed
- Oversee blog production from conception to publication, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Coordinate with the Senior Copy Manager and SEO Manager to research keywords and identify new content opportunities.
- Create detailed article briefs.
- Review and edit blog content from in-house and freelance copywriters.
- Write SEO articles, along with other blog content like testimonial articles.
- Stage and publish blogs in the CMS.
- Identify opportunities and work with the Design team to further optimize blogs with design elements like infographics and downloadable PDFs.
- Work with other Marketing teams to strategize on content distribution.
- Contribute to optimized website content with Community descriptions, Geo page descriptions (states, metros, cities), and FAQ snippets.
- Create Eblasts with compelling subject lines, headers, body copy, cross-sells, and CTAs, and identify A/B testing opportunities.
- Produce print pieces such as flyers, direct mailers, door hangers, print ads, etc.
- Develop video scripts.
- Contribute to website content such as main navigation pages, custom landing pages, and promo/event pages.
- Generate press releases when needed.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience reviewing and mentoring other writers, including freelance talent.
- The ability to follow an in-house style guide while adapting voice for different brands, audiences, and deliverables.
- A strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-changing and highly collaborative environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a corporate marketing or agency environment.
- Experience with SEO tools (like Semrush), content management systems (Optimizely experience a plus), project management tools (like Basecamp), design tools (like Canva), Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Google Docs.
- Basic HTML skills.
- Familiarity with generative content tools like ChatGPT and Bard is a plus.

What You'll Do:
The Senior Content Strategist adeptly combines analytical content strategy with precise writing and editing skills, specializing in long-form SEO content while leveraging tools like Semrush or Surfer SEO to identify opportunities and gaps and overseeing content review and editing processes.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
Century Communities (the "Company") intends to offer the selected candidate an annual base salary in the range of $82,000 - $88,000 with the potential for other financial incentives. Actual offers will be based on a variety of factors, including experience. Employees will have access to paid time off, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and the Company's 401(k) plan.
