VACANCY - CSEA POSITION

Custodial Worker - Poughkeepsie Public Library District (Full-Time): The Library District seeks individuals to fill the

roles of Custodial Worker (Full-Time) in January 2020. Primary responsibilities include bookmobile driving and its

care along with institutional building cleaning and light maintenance.

Qualifications:
Valid NYS driver's license at time of appointment. Ability to be insured by the commercial carriers

covering vehicle operations.

This is a non-competitive probationary Civil Service appointment. For permanent appointment, the selected

In addition to the above minimum qualifications,

the Library District seeks an individual with the following attributes:

• A desire to help launch a mobile library service throughout the Library District's various communities
• A willingness to actively support the Library District's management team's vision and mission
• Ability to effectively work with a diverse staff serving a diverse population
• Knowledge of standard cleaning products and procedures related to maintaining a public building
• Ability to effectively interpret and enforce Library District policies and procedures, as needed

improvement plan, the organizational focus will now shift to ongoing service evaluation and development as well as

Compensation:
This is a Civil Service appointment represented by CSEA. The annual salary is $46, hour work

week; hours vary but will be consistent. Standard benefit package.
