CLR Auto Transport, a national leader in fleet relocation and auto drive-away services, is currently seeking a qualified, experienced, assertive and responsible individual to fill our Dispatch / Driver Manager position at our Merrillville, IN facility.

Role and Responsibilities

The role of Dispatcher is to coordinate the on-time and safe delivery of all vehicles being delivered by OTR and/or non
- yard drivers in the following manner:

• Staffing of Drivers
• Interviewing, Hiring, and Training of all Drivers for CLR Auto Transport (OTR and nonlocal)

Review background checks & MVR reports prior to contracting.

• Maintain up to date Driver Roster
• Fairly distribute opportunities for Drivers and track all accepted and declined opportunities.
• Driver Training
• Provide Driver Training In-Person/Virtual as well as evaluations.
• Follow up with Drivers after they view training videos, answering questions they may have.
• Evaluate Driver training video assessment once it is completed.
• Ensure Drivers are comfortable and knowledgeable about expectations.
• Driver Compensation
• Ensure Drivers understand this is contract (1099), NOT employment.
• Ensure Drivers know the rate at which they will be compensated prior to dispatching.
• Ensure Drivers understand the compensation schedule.
• Ensure Drivers know the documentation requirements for compensation.
• DOT Compliance
• Inform drivers of all pertinent DOT Rules and Regulations
• Driver Logbooks reporting HOS violations to drivers and CLR Management Team
• Maintain CLR is in good standing with the DOT.
• Stay abreast of DOT policy changes and requirements.
• Driver Transport
• Monitor and record the status of driver/vehicles upon pickup, transit, and delivery.
• Schedule and communicate Dates with DSP both pickup, delivery, contacts for driver arrival.
• Document/Report Driver pickup and delivery dates using vehicle management system.
• Ensure all Drivers are operating all vehicle being transported in the name of CLR safely.
• Any other duties pertaining to Driver communication, dispatching, and screening as requested.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1-2 Years of High-Volume Vehicle Dispatching

1-2 Years of Clerical work

Highschool Diploma or Equivalent

Pay:
Up to $50,000.00 per year

• Weekends as needed
