    Group X Instructor

    Position Description

    Minimum Qualifications


    • The candidate should possess a good knowledge of and experience in group fitness instruction and/or participation
    • Preference given to students who have previous work experience or course work in Corporate Fitness/Human Performance
    Preferred Qualifications


    • The candidate would possess experience in leading group fitness classes. The candidate would be encouraged to hold a current certification from a nationally accredited fitness organization or work towards becoming certified
    Responsibilities


    • Assist with maintenance and cleaning of equipment used during classes
    • Implementing new ideas and recommending equipment purchases to improve group exercise programming
    • Recruit and recommend other candidates to instruct group exercise classes
    • Record participation for class attendance
    • Develop class routines for your specialized class
    • Work with other instructors to give and take constructive criticism through evaluations and the attendance other classes
    • Participate in all scheduled meetings/trainings and any other projects or duties as assigned
    Compensation

    * $12/hr (probationary period), with or without certification
    * $15/hr After probationary period with certification

    Exit from probationary period will require approval of Assistant Director and Director of Wellness Center.
