What we want


The Special Assistant to the Vice President assists the Chief Operating Officer of the Galveston Campus and the Superintendent of the Texas A&M Maritime Academy with special projects.

What you need to know


Salary:
Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten years of related experience in general office.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Essential Duties/Tasks

  • Special Projects
  • Works on special projects under the direction of the direction of the VP/Chief Operating Officer of the Galveston Campus, and the Superintendent of the Texas A&M Maritime Academy. Develops and recommends policies, procedures, and guidelines.


  • Review Business-Related Needs

  • Collaborates with others to create new and expanded programs. Performs special projects assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.


  • Reports

  • Prepares reports on program activities.
  • Reviews on file for office
  • Assists with management of performance evaluation process in the Galveston Campus Office and other projects and programs.
