    **Job Description**

    Neighborhood House is looking for an entry level kitchen assistant to help with day-to-day operations in our kitchen. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone eager to learn and grow their culinary abilities. Each year, we provide more than 100,000 nutritious meals to over 500 children and adults. Our kitchen provides award-winning, from-scratch meals with a seasonal, rotating menu. In our efforts to support the community, local produce is used whenever possible. Our new state of the art kitchen facility will allow you to utilize and develop your skillset as you also make a difference in the lives of families in the community.

    Hiring for full-time 15.00 **Duties And Responsibilities**

    The Successful Candidate will be:

    Self-motivated, driven, responsible, and highly dependable.

    Understand the operations of a commercial kitchen

    Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Assist in the preparation of meals for large groups

    Assist with cart set-up for breakfast, lunch, and snack daily.

    Maintain clean work areas, including dishwasher, freezer/refrigerator, stove/oven, and food preparation areas

    Cooking for approximately 300 people

    Qualifications:

    Current Food Handlers Permit
