    **Job Description**

    Neighborhood House is looking for an entry level kitchen assistant to support our growth into a brand new facility in 2019. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone eager to learn and grow their culinary abilities. Each year, we provide more than 100,000 nutritious meals to over 500 children and adults. Our kitchen provides award-winning, from-scratch meals with a seasonal, rotating menu. In our efforts to support the community, local produce is use whenever possible. Our new state of the art kitchen facility will allow you to utilize and develop your skill set as you also make a difference in the lives of families in the community. No nights, no weekends and paid holidays off after 90 days

    The Successful Candidate will be:

    > Self-motivated, driven, responsible, and highly dependable.

    >

    > Understand the operations of a commercial kitchen

    >

    > Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

    >

    > **Duties And Responsibilities**

    Primary Responsibilities :

    > Assist in the preparation of meals for large groups

    >

    > Assist with cart set-up for breakfast, lunch, and snack daily.

    >

    > Maintain clean work areas, including dishwasher, freezer/refrigerator, stove/oven, and food preparation areas

    >

    > Cooking for approximately 300 people

    >

    >

    Qualifications:

    Food Handlers Permit
