    Description

    Actalent is hiring for a Quality Control Lab Technician in the Reading area for a dairy facility. Apply today

    DUTIES:

    • Perform testing using the Near Infra-red methods, acidity tests, sink work, and other microbial testing and environmental sampling
    • Prepare solutions and media required for laboratory testing.
    • Sterilize equipment as needed.
    • Perform butterfat and total solids tests on fluid milk; cream; condensed and sweetened condensed milk; and powdered products
    • Maintain lab records of samples, test results, and lab quality control measures
    • Certify that finished product is suitable for sale by meeting government and customer specifications.
    • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the lab and the integrity of all testing results.
    • Evaluate truck shipments for acceptance based upon established criteria.
    • Complete entry into the computer systems and generate requested reports.

    SCHEDULE:

    • 3rd shift role 12am - 8am
    • MUST train on 1st OR 2nd shift*
    • Rotating schedule - 7 days on / 2 days off / 8 days on / 4 days off
