Brief Description of Position:


Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, the Assistant Project Manager will support the Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) implementation of the Governor's Master Plan for Youth Mental Health via support and collaboration with Marin County public school districts.

This position supports the implementation of the Student Behavioral Health Incentive Program (SBHIP), Certified Wellness Coaches (CWC) Program, Multi-Payer Fee Schedule readiness, and other state-level grants.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Establishes and maintains partnerships with local universities to support the recruitment and placement of mental health interns to provide direct and indirect service delivery in Marin County public schools.
  • Trains, supports, supervises, and evaluates schoolbased mental health interns, consistent with current California mental health intern training requirements.
  • Support the scope of work, training, and supervision of Certified Wellness Coaches across Marin County public schools.
  • Lead evidencebased practices programming, including coordination and delivery of training, intervention fidelity, coordination with partnering districts and communitybased partners, supervision of assigned clinicians, and overall grant management.
  • Support countywide programming related to the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI).
  • Support activities related to medical necessity determination for LEA Medi-Cal Billing Option Program (BOP) and CYBHI Multi Payer Fee Schedule.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop materials for trainings, specific projects, and new programs.
  • Develops written proposals and budgets related to grants and special projects.
  • Assists with management of grant work plans, budgets, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintains a professional role in representing the educational program throughout Marin County
  • Communicates effectively, verbally, and in writing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, requiring essentially the same effort, skill, and responsibilities when work requirements are changed or modified.

Works under direct supervision of the Director of Health, Safety, and Support.


Certification & Qualification Requirements:

Required:_

  • Possession of a valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential and/or possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential.
  • Valid California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), minimum of two years post licensure required.
  • Experience supervising graduate students in a practicum setting; completion of required supervision coursework per California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) regulations.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience in public schools as a mental health service provider.
  • Direct knowledge and understanding of the statutory and licensing requirements associated with the provision of behavioral health supports and services within the publicschool setting.
  • Experience as a presenter, coach, and/or facilitator for teachers, related service providers, and administrators.
  • Required to hold a valid CA Driver License and proof of insurance when driving is an assigned job duty.
