    Requires Call + Off-shift Presence

    The Neurophysiology Lab Supervisor is accountable for managing daily operations of the Neurophysiology Lab on their assigned shift. Organizes, facilitates, and prioritizes activities to ensure quality patient care delivery. Supervises staff including coaching, mentoring, evaluating their performance.

    The Neurophysiology Lab Supervisor collaborates and works in conjunction with the department director, physicians, and other members of the department's leadership team.

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's Degree


    Recommended Education:

    Required Work Experience:
    Related Field - 4 years with 1 year of leadership experience


    Recommended Work Experience:
    Clinics - Neurophysiology_2 years Pediatric experience


    Required Certifications:
    Registered EEG Tech (REET) - AMERICAN BOARD OF REGISTRATION OF ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHIC & EVOKED POTENTIAL TECHNOLOGISTS (ABRET)


    Recommended Certifications:
    Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) - AMERICAN BOARD OF REGISTRATION OF ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHIC & EVOKED POTENTIAL TECHNOLOGISTS (ABRET), Certified Long Term Monitorin - AMERICAN BOARD OF REGISTRATION OF ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHIC & EVOKED POTENTIAL TECHNOLOGISTS (ABRET), Magnetoencephalograpy (CMEG) Certification - American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists


    Description

    • Supervises the daily operations of the Neurophysiology lab on assigned shift.
    • Organizes, facilitates and prioritizes activities to ensure quality patient care delivery and the attainment of department safety goals.
    • Fosters effective communication, collaboration and accountability between clinical staff and other departments.
    • Ensures reporting and appropriate follow-up on occurrences.
    • Responsible for supervising, coaching and mentoring assigned staff. Assists with evaluating effectiveness of staff.
    • Ensures appropriate skill mix for patient care and assists with timely care when needed.
    • Ensures cost effective and efficient use of resources and equipment and identifies and addresses potential areas for costs savings and improved efficiencies of care.
    • Oversees the management and maintenance of technological systems and partners with Healthcare Technology management and medical leadership to ensure information systems are maximized.
    • Completes ongoing monitoring data collection, and audits to ensure compliance.
    • Proactively identifies and addresses areas of potential risk and improvement.
    • Leads performance improvement activities and teams.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
