Overview:

  • We are currently looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join the team in Morristown, New Jersey for a unique opportunity to be a key part of our book of business.

Responsibilities:


Role and Responsibilities:


  • Enter all monetary transactions (bound accounts, endorsements, cancellations, etc.) into our local bordereau.
  • Reconcile monthly corporate reports.
  • Forward loss runs to respective broker.
  • Update all spreadsheets daily (Local Bordereau, deal tracker and Master Log)
  • Send weekly policy draft list, accounts to be peer reviewed to the respective underwriter, open invoice and deliverable reminders.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of new and existing relationships.
  • Promote the growth and strong reputation of ANV Global Services / AmTrust Group.
  • Assist in underwriting business in accordance with ANV's policies / procedures and Transactional Risk Underwriting Guidelines, including keeping track of and updating deal specific status trackers and maintaining and saving all deal related documentation.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Contribute and participate in all meetings to develop knowledge of market dynamics and to help support the performance of the team.
  • Handle intake of all deal submissions, including importing submission documents, initial preparation of Rater and deal files, and initial review and execution of NDAs related to submissions.

  • Skills and experience required:
  • PC Literate with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent internal and external communication, interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Must be a team player who enjoys a fastpaced business and entrepreneurial environment.
  • College degree
  • Opportunity to transition to Underwriting position in the future.
