- Manages therapeutic regimens in collaboration with a physician for acute and chronic issues related to the diseases and treatments
- Provides guidance, education to patients and families, and emotional support
- Member of an interdisciplinary care team requiring effective communication and collaboration with co-workers and collaborating institutions
- Engages in critical thinking, research understanding, and leadership to enhance care quality and advancement of medical practices
- Participates in formal and informal learning opportunities to support the Institute's Mission, Vision, and Core Values
- Authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts
- Current certification from an accrediting body approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration for Nurse Practitioners
- Minimum of 24 contact hours in pharmacotherapeutics beyond generic education
- Masters degree in Nursing
- At least 1 year of oncology nursing or Nurse Practitioner experience
- Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Federal DEA numbers
- Certification in Oncology Nursing preferred - OCN, AOCN, CPON, BMTCN, CPHON

A Masters Degree and completion of an AAPA/NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant Studies program is required. NCCPA Certification and Massachusetts PA license are mandatory. Must maintain current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Licenses, and complete 100 hours of CME every 2 years.
PA I:
No professional experience required.
PA II:
2 years of qualifying professional Physician Assistant experience
PA III:
5 years of qualifying professional Physician Assistant experience
