Are you looking for a part-time position that enhances another person's life?
One on one direct care opportunity available in Phoenixville, Pa


Seeking an emotionally mature and reliable person to serve as a Support Service Professional (SSP) for a social and interactive adult man with intellectual disabilities.

Services include that of community involvement and/or accommodation with activities of daily living including personal care, household activities, communication, transportation, and recreation.


Your daily actions as a Support Professional will enable this individual to flourish in his desired home context, maintain or increase his independence, and live his best life.

You will provide individualized support as outlined in the individual's plan of care utilizing approved interventions. This includes coaching, positive reinforcement, physical assistance, emotional support and safe crisis management techniques.


Looking for someone with a positive outlook/good sense of humor, good judgment, and emotional maturity who knows how to help someone execute activities, follow up on chores, and encourage positive choices.


If you have prior experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, particularly mild cerebral palsy, or high-functioning autism, you are encouraged to apply.

Hours Available:

Saturday/Sunday, 9a-9p

Tuesday 4p-9p


Qualifications:

*Clear Criminal Background checks and drug screening
*Possession of Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
*Ability to work Independently And Also Effectively With Other Team Members
*Reliable and Relatable; Ability to Communicate Patiently and Effectively; Strong
Work Ethic
*Some Experience with Individuals with Disabilities or Mental Health Needs
*Some computer skills required to complete daily documentation and service notes via app or laptop
*Commitment to equality for all individuals and to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
*Be Covid-19 Vaccinated prior to employment
*Experience with cpap machines a plus


Staff will be interviewed, hired, trained, and supervised by the individual's family and a private agency working with the family.

Resumes will be reviewed prior to offer of first interview.
