    Job Captain
    Amenta Emma is seeking a Job Captain to join our Hartford office. Candidates must have excellent problem-solving and verbal presentation skills.

    Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales, in collaborative work environments.

    Participate in full design process conceptual design through construction administration as a member of a collaborative team
    Produce, manage, and coordinate document sets
    Review drawings to ensure compliance with firm standards, codes and ADA requirements
    Coordinate with senior technical and design staff
    Communicate with consultants to ensure coordination of project documents
    Participate in construction administration including review of shop drawings, RFIs, site inspections and reports

    Experience + Qualifications:
    A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
    Progress towards pursuit of architectural licensure
    5-10 years of professional experience
    Demonstrated ability to provide complete sets of drawings
    Proficient knowledge of building and accessibility codes
    Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
    Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office

    Project Manager
    We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Hartford office. Candidates must have excellent problem-solving and verbal presentation skills.

    Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales, in collaborative work environments.

    Role & Responsibilities
    Provide leadership to clients and teams by communicating and coordinating project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule
    Oversee project development on multiple projects varying in size and complexity
    Establish the timing of key decisions and project milestones to meet established deadlines
    Manage scheduling, budgets, staffing, and project set-up with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors
    Implement best practices utilizing established processes, reference standards, tools, templates, and technology
    Train and mentor staff under your supervision
    Prepare project proposals and negotiate contracts and fees
    Experience and Qualifications
    A professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution
    10+ years of professional experience, preferably in the academic market
    Strong self-motivation and energy
    Demonstrated experience leading teams of architectural designers and consultants
    Strong communication and organizational skills
    Proficiency with Bluebeam and MS Office

    Interior Designer
    We are seeking an Interior Designer to join our Boston office. Candidates must have excellent problem-solving and verbal presentation skills, as well as higher education or multi-family design experience.

    Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales, in collaborative work environments.

    Lead conceptual and schematic phase of Interior Design projects
    Participate in all phases of the design and documentation
    Generate programming studies, space planning concepts, and conceptual design options
    Coordinate with consultants, product reps, and furniture dealers
    Present design concepts effectively to Clients
    Execute construction documents in Revit
    Assist in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits


    Experience + Qualifications:
    A professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution
    5+ years of professional experience in higher education or multi-family design
    Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
    Strong space planning, 3D design, and finish research skills
    Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
    Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office
    Proficiency with SketchUp, InDesign, and Photoshop preferred

    Assist in the conceptualization and development of design ideas, generate diagrams, digital models, interior and exterior renderings, and presentation materials
    Develop space planning, site design, and building massing studies in compliance with code, zoning, and budget constraints
    Prepare presentations for active projects, marketing pursuits, or internal research

    Experience + Qualifications:
    A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
    5+ years of professional experience
    Very efficient with the following design skills and software: 3D Modeling (SketchUp and/or Rhino); Rendering – Lumion; Post-processing – Photoshop and Illustrator; Presentations – InDesign
    Strong verbal and graphic presentation skills
    Site design and zoning analysis capabilities preferred
