- Schedules intake appointments, records patient details, and organizes medical records for new and returning patients
- Greets patients, escorts them to and from the waiting area, takes vital signs, and updates electronic charts
- Supports Medical Director/Program Physician/Nurse Practitioner during patient intakes
- Collects blood and non-blood specimens for laboratory analysis
- Prepares examination rooms and ensures cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and supplies
- Performs receptionist duties, maintains reports and records, and manages communications
- Manages lab results and distributes them to counselors
- Participates in staff meetings and training sessions
- Completes other assigned tasks
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years
- State-required Medical Assistant Certification
- CPR/BCLS and phlebotomy certifications
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, DEA guidelines, and accreditation standards
- Proficient in verbal and written communication, MS Office, and patient management software
- Ability to build positive relationships with patients and show empathy towards those with Substance Use Disorder
- 1-2 years of healthcare experience in a similar setting
- Proficiency in Spanish (optional)
