The _
Wedding and Event Planner at the River House at Odette's _is the liaison between the event guests and the company's operations.

The Wedding and Event Planner is responsible for collecting the guests' needs and desires and effectively communicating them to the company's operations department heads via the banquet event orders and clear communication.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Clearly understand and know by heart the company's products, site features, and amenities in order to field any and all questions posed by prospective guests.
  • Be readily accessible to guests wishing to schedule a site tour.
  • Be present at all events to ensure that the banquet event order is followed as written.
  • Clearly maintain a banquet event order (BEO) for all upcoming events.
  • Coordinate with the key internal stakeholders to ensure a worldclass guest experience.
  • Maintain an open line of communication to all internal and external guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills:We require _
2-3 years_ of experience with providing world-class guest service, hotel and banquet event planning, meeting or exceeding all guest satisfaction goals and benchmarks, meeting with guests to discuss their requirements, and coordinating all aspects of events with banquet and operations teams.

Customer Service and Professionalism:Proven experienceserving as a role model and setting the standard for all staff to maintain high-quality and consistent customer service.

Problem Solving, Quality Control, and Priority Assessment: Must evaluate current practices and processes; immediately recognize potential areas of conflict; and suggest ways to improve current business methods, quality of products and services provided.

Sales Techniques and Customer Influence: Understanding of room types, products, amenities, guest needs. Meets with clients and support sales team as necessary. Must possess superior experience and remain current in sales methods. Must meet or exceed room occupancy goals.

Communication: Commitment to details both verbally and non-verbally and ability to encourage cooperative and consistent levels of communication with the kitchen staff, front-end staff and management. Must understand instructions, read written company information and communicate with little or no additional direction.

Interpersonal Relationships: Ability to adapt to different personalities of guests, staff and outside vendors without losing focus. Must possess high professional ethics and avoid extreme familiarity or conflicts with others.

Conflict Management: Capacity to recognize problems when they arise and be able to resolve them appropriately by using good judgement, tact, and initiative according to company policy and procedure. Requires unbiased communication skills to handle all types of conflicts that will occur at all levels of supervision and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Perform General Physical Activities: Ability to perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate to maximum strength including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, handling materials.

Flexibility: Must be available to work overtime when needed, assist with the workload of others, and perform other duties as assigned.


Pay:
$50, $55,000.00 per year
