- Orientation: June 18, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Hours/Week: 8:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. (30-minute lunch)
- Total Hours/Week: 29 hours hours the week of July 1)
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in a self-contained autism setting and/or educational life skills setting.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and effective educational program.
- Assess student progress, monitor behavior, and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
- Experience teaching in a self-contained autism setting and/or educational life skills setting preferred.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and instructional strategies for students with autism and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners in a summer school setting.
