The Role:
Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a new Mechanical Equipment Engineer.
If you are hired into this role, you will join a team that produces membranes for filtration and purification applications in the ultra-high purity semiconductor industry.
You willbe responsible for supporting production, equipment maintenance and process engineering to improve operation, reliability, safety and ergonomics of production equipment.
In this role you will:
Collaborate with production team, equipment maintenance, and process engineering to improve production equipment productivity, reliability, safety, performance and ergonomicsTake ownership of design improvement projects from concept to implementation including validation, documentation, SOPs and training.
Create, update, organize, and maintain all documentation Manage release of documentation for projectsSpecify replacement parts for obsolete and unavailable production equipment.
Process as necessary through the change management system What We Seek:BS in Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, 5-8+ years of directly related experience in a Manufacturing/Equipment environmentExperience with a variety of motors and pumpsA self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple projects Proficiency in the use of SolidWorks and AutoCad programs Ability to work well as part of a team Strong verbal and writing communication skills with the ability to clearly explain concepts and solutions A critical eye for Safety and improvements in all areas of responsibility Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project)
A desire to be hands-onOutstanding Candidates Will Have:
Experience with the production of membranesExperience with predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermo-imaging, etc.)
