POSITION TITLE: Registration Specialist
Mon - Fri 2:30pm-11pm with every other weekend
DEPT: Patient Registration/Scheduling

Location: N Edward St Decatur IL 62526

Pays up to $22/HR based on experience.

General job duties:
Complete all steps of pre-registration/registration for the Emergency Department, identify/capture health insurance eligibility, facilitate appropriate billing of claims/hospital reimbursement, obtain and validate proper consent for patient treatment. Educate patients/others on billing, payment options. Work with various departments to ensure consistent financial documentation.

Equipment Used: Cerner, Sympli (Doc Halo), tele tracking

Required skills & 1 years of exp: one year of experience required.

Shift: Mon-Fri 2:30pm-11pm in the Emergency Department with every other weekend.

Floating: May float to general registration on an as needed basis (but the majority of work will be done in the ED)

Dress Code: Business Casual

Unit/dept specific orientation: 3-4 weeks of training with an experienced patient access specialist, but could be less
