Job Overview:
We are in search of an adept Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team.
This role will be pivotal in upholding the financial integrity of our operations while offering strategic insights to drive decision-making at the executive level.
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Assistant Finance Manager will oversee accounts payable and accounting personnel. We seek a proactive individual with strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a penchant for challenge.Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and yearly reconciliations, financial reports, and statements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, GAAP principles, and internal policies.
- Supervise financial transactions across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of monthly closures.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate the timely submission of financial data and budgets.
- Execute journal entries and oversee account maintenance and reconciliation.
- Enforce proper accounting procedures for all transactions.
Team Leadership:
- Provide managerial oversight, coaching, and training to accounts payable and accounting staff, fostering a collaborative work environment conducive to continuous learning and professional development.
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process by leveraging historical financial data to offer insights and recommendations.
- Monitor budget performance, conducting variance analysis to identify areas for enhancement.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain robust accounting controls and audit documentation to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead or participate in projects aimed at refining financial reporting, systems, and procedures.
Human Resources:
- Manage payroll and benefits administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a focus on accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with at least 2 years in public accounting.
- Previous managerial experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar integrated accounting software.
- Experience working across multiple legal entities under varying legal frameworks.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in handling proprietary business, financial, and personnel matters.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain open, constructive communication with management while working both independently and collaboratively within a teamoriented environment.
Pay:
$80, $105,000.00 per year
