    Description
    Join Community

Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, "community" is still the heart of our organization. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.
    • Ethical and culturally sensitive approach to therapy, with a commitment to upholding client autonomy, dignity, and confidentiality.
    • Willingness to undergo background checks and maintain compliance with state regulations for licensed therapists.
    • Experience working in community mental health settings, hospitals, or private practice.
    • Knowledge of complementary approaches to trauma recovery, such as mindfulness-based therapies or somatic experiencing.
    • Experience working with clients who have a history of substance misuse or using substance to numb emotions.
    • Experience facilitating psychoeducational workshops or support groups for trauma survivors.
    • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices, such as EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to their unique needs and cultural backgrounds.
    • Provide individual therapy sessions using modalities to help clients reduce distressing symptoms, process and resolve traumatic memories, and improve overall functioning.
    • Foster a safe and supportive therapeutic environment that honors clients' identities, experiences, and cultural perspectives, promoting empowerment and self-advocacy.
    • Integrate principles of DEI into therapy sessions, addressing systemic barriers and social determinants of mental health to promote equitable access to care and positive outcomes.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care and advocacy for clients, including referrals to additional resources and support services as needed.
    • Stay abreast of current research and best practices, participating in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
    • Engage in self-care practices to prevent burnout and maintain personal well-being, modeling healthy coping strategies for clients and colleagues.
