Position Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Gather and interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, visualizations and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Acquire program and regional data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Work in partnership with program staff to identify opportunities to collaborate, layer and leverage existing programs backed by relevant data
- Work internally across the agency to communicate departmental activities and being able to provide them with data that is needed for research and collection
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the department, capture knowledge management, and support strategic planning processes within the organization
- Create visualizations, reports, and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to San Diego County Representatives
- Provide datadriven insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and decisionmaking processes
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Experiences/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:
- Intermediate or Advanced data entry skills
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Intermediate working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook, and managing data in a Windows environment
- Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Works independently and collaboratively with mínimal supervision
- Comfortable asking questions and seeking additional help to execute tasks
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent telephone and oral communication skills
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve in complex situations
- Ability to analyze and organize data, developing insights from multiple data sets
- Positive and professional demeanor and demonstrates integrity, accountability, and confidentiality with internal and external partners
