Description
Star Automation, Inc. was established in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, in 1991. We specialize in automatic unloaders & custom automation solutions to increase productivity, profitability and safety for injection molders worldwide.


We are currently looking for a highly motivated robot assembler who enjoys mechanical and electrical projects, can work well independently, and has strong communication skills.


Summary


Under the direction of Production Manager, packs, crates, uncrates and prepares customer orders for shipping, receives material and equipment, and loads and unloads trucks according to established procedures and shipping regulations, meeting customer delivery requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare product for shipping to customers.
  • Ensure customer order and product matches; box, crate, shrink-wrap as necessary.
  • Custom makes crates to conform to each machine.
  • Load trucks with outgoing products and unload trucks with incoming materials with use of fork truck & pallet jack
  • Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of material received.
  • Place incoming materials into storage.
  • Pull materials from storage and deliver to production as needed.
  • Operate a bander to band boxes to be shipped.
  • Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Process recycled products.
  • Uncrate overseas crates
  • The use of crating tools such as nail guns, rip saw, pneumatic tools and all other tools associated with skid building,
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience


Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma and one to three months related experience to become familiar with equipment and processes.


Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to understand the metric system


Other Qualifications
Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard office machines, to include a computer, telephone, fax, copier, etc.
