Job Description Summary
The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the success of our team. The Warehouse Associate is in charge of operating machinery to facilitate the movement of materials within the facility for shipping and processing.

Tasks may involve unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, picking, conducting physical inventory counts, stacking products, maintaining general housekeeping, and being able to work extended hours in a cold environment.

The individual must have prior experience and feel at ease using equipment such as hand trucks, order-pickers, forklifts, and walkies for item transportation. This is an on-site position from Monday to Friday.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack reagents using a scanner across different temperature zones
  • Pick and pack spare parts and instruments with the assistance of a scanner
  • Notify warehouse manager of any inventory discrepancies
  • Assemble, build, wrap, sort, and transport customer orders
  • Utilize tools like hand trucks, carts, doilies, forklifts, orderpickers, and walkies for item transportation
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment
  • Potential travel to other Akoya locations within Marlborough, MA (within a 5-mile radius)
  • Fulfill any other assigned tasks

Qualifications/Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent education, experience, or training
  • Previous experience in warehouse picking and packing
  • Proficiency in using an Rf scanning tool
  • Demonstrated success in a dynamic, team-oriented environment that requires multitasking abilities
  • Preferred experience in the biotech or instrument sector, although not mandatory
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
  • Compliance with the Company's safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Familiarity with FedEx Ship Manager system or similar 3rd party shipping software
  • Ability to follow directives and instructions provided by management and the leadership team
  • Capability to fulfill all warehouse duties
  • Efficient and safe operation in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to stand for an 8-hour shift
  • Regular lifting capacity of 50 lbs
  • Quick responsiveness to auditory cues
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
