    Description


    A leader in alternative energy solutions, this company is hiring for a Civil/Structural Engineer to provide calculations, design, and analysis of civil/structural engineering elements on a range of energy projects relating to the treatment of natural gas and biogas.

    This market leader offers high-value consultancy, engineering and construction management services to the energy, process, and power industries.

    You will get the chance to work on Renewable Energy projects, as they focus on LFG to Energy Plants and Waste-to Energy facilities, converting biogas diverted from waste into Green Energy including heat, electricity, and Renewable Natural Gas.

    Reporting to the Civil/Structural Manager, this engineer will participate in training, while developing and progressing proficiency in skills and responsibilities listed below.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Undertake assignments aimed at advancing professional knowledge and skills within project teams.
    Conduct calculations pertinent to site development, structural steel, and concrete foundations.
    Cultivate a solid understanding of ACI/AISC/IBC/ASCE Codes and Standards, along with familiarity with ASTM and industry norms.
    Draft specifications and technical reports, subject to review by Engineer IV or Department Manager.
    Participate in design drawing preparation and collaborate closely with designers.
    Provide guidance and support to designers as needed.
    Communicate effectively with clients, and actively participate in project meetings, both onsite and offsite.
    Assist in developing engineering estimates and proposals.
    Fulfill any additional duties delegated by superiors.

    Requirements/Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    Professional Engineer (PE)
    Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
    Strong leadership skills to oversee small work teams and ensure project deadlines are met
    Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers
    Proficiency in generating engineering estimates and proposals
    Willingness to travel to construction sites as necessary
