    Neonatology-Perinatology

    The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School and UMass Memorial Health Care is recruiting for faculty candidates for our 49-bed neonatal intensive care unit. Applicants should have a focus on outstanding clinical care, teaching and research. Responsibilities include comprehensive newborn care, collaboration with Obstetrics for deliveries, and active participation in training. Candidates with a successful program of research who can mentor trainees, junior faculty and grow research in the Division are encouraged to apply. The NICU at the Children's Medical Center serves as a Level III referral center for neonates throughout Central Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. The Division offers a variety of clinical, academic and administrative opportunities for candidates at all stages of their careers.

    UMass Chan Medical School is a thriving research institution with robust clinical and translational research programs, as well as community and population health research. Faculty have access to core resources through the NIH funded Center for Clinical and Translational Science as well as the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences. A new research building houses state-of-the-art simulation center and programs in gene therapy and RNA therapeutics.

    Candidates should be Board Certified in Pediatrics, with fellowship training and Board Certified or Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine as appropriate. Academic appointment will be commensurate with academic credentials. The salary and benefits are competitive.
