    In partnership with Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) and West Virginia University School of Medicine – Charleston Division we are seeking a pediatric neurologist as core faculty for ACGME-accredited neurology and pediatrics residency programs to join the Department of Pediatrics and Charleston Area Medical Center Women and Children's Hospital, a regional tertiary center and teaching hospital in Charleston, WV.

    We are seeking a second BE/BC pediatric neurologist to join a thriving practice with one other pediatric neurologist, and an APP.

    The position will focus on inpatient and outpatient clinical work as well as teaching residents and medical students, with the opportunity to focus on or develop an area of clinical expertise.

    Clinical research interests are encouraged and will be actively supported. Training in EEG and neurophysiology are not required but is preferred.

    The practice is located at Women and Children's Hospital, a regional tertiary center for children, with referrals from twenty surrounding counties.

    Women and Children's Hospital includes a 30-bed inpatient pediatric unit, a 6-bed PICU with 4 additional transitional care beds staffed by board certified pediatric intensivists, and a Level III 26-Bed NICU staffed 24/7 by in-house board-certified neonatologists.

    In the outpatient setting, support staff include a registration representative and pre-certification specialist to manage scheduling and prior authorization needs, and a medical assistant who helps triage patient calls and coordinate communication with families.

    We are also supported by the EEG department with round-the-clock EEG tech coverage, and an epilepsy monitoring unit.

    Charleston Area Medical Center - established in 1972, CAMC is a nonprofit, 1,103-bed regional referral center made up of six hospitals CAMC General Hospital, CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, CAMC Memorial Hospital, CAMC Plateau Medical Center, CAMC Teays Valley Hospital and CAMC Women and Children's Hospital, the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine and the CAMC Foundation.

    Nearly 900 physicians have admitting privileges at CAMC, which is also West Virginia's premiere medical teaching facility, hosting, on any given day, more than 800 students in programs leading to degrees or certifications in health professions.

    BE/BC in Pediatric Neurology
    Ability to obtain a West Virginia state medical license and DEA
    Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Charleston Area Medical Center
    Demonstrated interest and passion for academic medicine.
