    Position Overview:

    We are seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to join our team at Mendota Autism Center. As a Behavior Technician, your role will involve delivering direct behavior therapy to children with Autism and other developmental disorders. This includes implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) teaching procedures in both intensive and natural teaching settings. You will play a pivotal role in providing Verbal Behavior Therapy, offering guidance, instruction, and a positive example to our clients.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    Availability to work Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM, with some flexibility.

    Qualifications based on the EIDBI Levels (1, 2, or 3):

    Level 1:

    Enrolled in a graduate program in a mental health discipline or hold a master's degree in a mental health field.

    Possess 2,000 hours of clinical experience and/or training.

    Level 2 (meet one of the following):

    Hold a bachelor's degree in behavioral or child development science or a related field from an accredited college or university, with 1,000 hours of clinical experience, OR completed approved graduate coursework, OR be a BCaBA or RBT.

    Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program related to behavioral or child development sciences, with an expectation of receiving 1,000 hours of supervision.

    Have 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (equivalent to 2 years of full-time experience).

    Level 3 (meet both criteria):

    Possess a high school diploma or GED.

    Have at least one year of experience as a primary care assistant worker, health worker, waiver service provider, or special education assistant.

    Tasks and Responsibilities:

    Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify the specific needs and goals of each client.

    Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on the assessments.

    Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients using ABA teaching methods and Verbal Behavior Therapy.

    Collect and analyze data on client behavior and progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.

    Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including BCBAs, to ensure coordinated care and goal achievement.

    Assist clients in acquiring essential life skills, communication skills, and social skills.

    Prepare and maintain accurate written records and reports on client sessions and progress.

    Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in ABA and autism intervention.

    Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment.

    Foster a positive and supportive relationship with clients and their families.

    Applicants must be able to:

    Sit, stand, and kneel throughout the day.

    Work between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
