    Description

    OIT is looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to join our BI Program. We need someone who excels in the following technical areas:

    • Requirements Gathering

    Collaborating with the team and data experts to grasp requirements and business goals for reports & visualizations and data model. Identifying essential data sources and attributes for model use.

    • Data Modeling:
    Designing efficient conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet business needs. Implementing row and column-level security in Power BI data model and creating reusable semantic data models within the platform. Familiarity with Tabular Editor Best Practice Analyzer, ensuring modeling and DAX best practices. Establishing relationships between tables and optimizing data structures.
    • Data Source Connectivity Setup:
    Connecting to various data sources (APIs, Big Query, ArcGIS map and feature layers, SQL databases, Excel files, etc.) and managing seamless data extraction and transformation. Working with OIT Integrations team for integration patterns exploration.
    • DAX Formulas:
    Proficient in DAX formulas, including calculated columns, measures, and custom calculations.
    • Report Creation:
    Designing interactive, visually appealing reports and dashboards, with slicers, visuals, and drill-through functionality. Ensuring adherence to accessibility standards and optimizing reports for performance.

    It is important that the developer follows source and version control patterns for Power BI files and can utilize Azure DevOps appropriately.
