As a
Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing exceptional service to internal stakeholders.

You will handle all aspects of payroll processing, including data entry, payroll calculations, preparing ledger entries and reconciliations, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.


Responsibilities:


  • Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees using payroll software/system. Payroll will include biweekly payroll, commission and option payroll processing for both USA and Canadian employees.
  • Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and other payroll variables.
  • Review timesheets and attendance records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
  • Respond to payrollrelated inquiries from employees and management in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with payrollrelated audits and investigations, including 401k audits.
  • Stay uptodate on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with HR and finance departments to ensure payroll data integrity and accuracy.
  • Assist with payrollrelated projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in payroll processing or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software/systems (e.g., ADP).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
