Electrician on Board Costa Crociere (M/F/d):


Your Responsibilities:


  • Conducting daily inspections of main switchboards and substations, assessing their normal operating range and having a strong understanding of electrical symbols and diagrams.
  • Operating medium/low voltage and all switchboards on board, including the emergency switchboard. Familiar with force distribution and knowledgeable about the locations of substations and major utilities. Able to take appropriate actions in emergency situations.
  • Managing interventions in the Guest's area, including correctly processing Work Requests (WR) and Work Orders (WO). Familiar with the various types of engines on board and conducting general checks and maintenance on electrical motors, transformers, propulsion, and electrical panels.
  • Assisting Electrician Officers with the operation of Safety Equipment such as Lifeboat Electrical Winches, Lifeboat Electrical Motors, and Emergency Light batteries.
  • Operating electrical machines and understanding their location in relation to deck machinery (windlass, mooring winches, etc.), Galley equipment (Dishwashers, Ovens, etc.), Laundry machinery (Washing, Mangles, etc.), and Bar machinery.

Your Profile:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Field and Industrial Automation. Certification as an Electrician in your own country is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrician on board a vessel and 2 years of experience on shore in industrial plant maintenance.
  • Holding COP III/7 per STCW is mandatory
