    Description

    Role: Quality Lab Technician

    Industry: Battery Tech

    Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

    Salary: $60k-80k

    Position: Quality Lab Technician

    The Quality Lab Technician is tasked with characterizing battery materials, conducting analytical methods and electrochemical testing, and assisting in method development studies. They are also responsible for maintaining measurement equipment under the Analytical Scientist's guidance. Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping are essential. This role collaborates closely with material scientists, process engineers, and test engineers to enhance energy storage materials, necessitating strong communication skills. Additionally, the technician handles incoming materials disposition and basic Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) duties.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct battery material characterization, method development, and equipment maintenance under Analytical Scientist's guidance.
    • Execute sample preparation and analysis, equipment upkeep, and troubleshooting.
    • Maintain meticulous records and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for energy storage material development.
    • Manage incoming materials and basic Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) duties.

    Requirements:

    • 1-3 years lab experience, preferably in analytical or materials testing.
    • Associates degree or higher in a technical field preferred.
    • Ability to focus, multitask, and exercise judgment.
    • Proficiency in lab instruments, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
    • Located in Pittsburgh, PA, with physical capability for lab work.
