    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator Department: Human Resources

    Classification: Non-Exempt Approved By: Human Resources

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

    Position Reports To: Senior HR Generalist & VP of HR

    Positions Supervised:

    POSITION PURPOSE

    The Human Resources Coordinator will support the Human Resources department in various administrative and operational tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. This includes assisting with recruitment processes, onboarding new employees, maintaining HR records and databases, coordinating training and development activities, and providing general HR support to employees and management. The Human Resources Coordinator plays a crucial role in fostering a positive employee experience and contributing to the overall success of the organization's HR functions.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

    • Recruitment support includes posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
    • Onboarding assistance includes preparing offer letters, conducting orientations, and ensuring new employees have the necessary resources to be successful.
    • Record maintenance includes maintaining accurate employee records, updating HR databases, and managing timekeeping systems.
    • Payroll and benefits administration support includes helping with processing of payroll, overseeing benefits enrollments, and handling changes and terminations.
    • Employee relations support includes assisting with conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
    • Helps with training coordination including scheduling training sessions, tracking employee progress on training programs, and evaluating training effectiveness.
    • Compliance activities include ensuring HR policies and procedures are compliant with legal requirements.
    • Project support includes assisting with HR projects and initiatives, employee engagement programs and policy development.
    • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
    • Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
    • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
    • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
    • Prepares new-employee files.
    • Processes mail.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Education/Certification:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
    • SHRM-CP preferred.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift up-to 15 pounds at a time.
    • Must be willing to travel 25% of the time.

    Schedule:

    • 9/80 work schedule
    • Monday – Friday
    • Overtime may be required as needed
