Description
The insurance verification and billing coordinator is responsible for verifying patient insurance, obtaining authorization for services, creating and billing for services.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Verifies and obtains insurance authorization
- Create invoices and bill insurance companies
- Tracks EOB and posts payments
- Appeal Denials and reprocess claims
- Oversee Accounts receivables and ensure that all invoices are paid in a timely manner
- Run weekly and monthly reports
Qualifications and Skills
- College Degree is required
- At least one year experience in insurance billing is required
- Proficient computer skills(proficient in excel. Proof of experience will be required)
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work alone without supervision
