Description
Why AeroShield is a great opportunity for you

AeroShield Materials is a team of 17 individuals dedicated to delivering innovative materials that enhance our lives in a sustainable manner.

Every year in the US, windows and doors lose an estimated $40 billion in thermal energy. To address this issue, we are creating super-insulating, transparent aerogel inserts for windows, offering state-of-the-art thermal comfort and energy efficiency for homes at an accessible price point.

If you join AeroShield, you become part of a dynamic, dedicated, and skilled team working towards our mission in a sustainable, ethical, and forward-thinking manner.

You will be in charge of enhancing AeroShield's manufacturing capacity and quality through capital projects while overseeing current manufacturing processes to ensure high output and standards.

Focusing on innovation and sustainability, you will motivate the team to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet market demands while upholding safety and environmental standards.

By optimizing processes and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, you will prepare AeroShield for the launch of its initial products in the residential window market.

You thrive in a small team setting where you have autonomy over your daily tasks.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead, manage, and scale AeroShield's manufacturing team
  • Oversee processes, capacity planning, supply chain, and resource allocation for operational efficiency and cost reduction
  • Implement safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies in manufacturing processes
  • Lead projects to expand manufacturing capabilities
  • Manage external design/build firms for support in capital projects
  • Utilize networks in manufacturing, chemical processes, and prototyping for guidance

This position involves a mix of remote work, on-site tasks, and in-person meetings with the team. A typical week may comprise 3-4 days on-site. AeroShield is currently based in Hyde Park, MA, relocating to Waltham, MA in June 2024. The location of the 2026 Series A manufacturing facility is yet to be determined.

We highly prioritize a positive team culture and seek an individual who wishes to contribute to enhancing this culture actively as the company expands. This individual should embody AeroShield's core values of Understanding & Improving, Valuing People, and Acting Sustainably.
