- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests to identify gastrointestinal conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including but not limited to inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, pancreatitis, and gastrointestinal cancers.
- Prescribe and administer medications, including therapeutic agents, antibiotics, and pain management drugs, in accordance with clinic protocols and state regulations.
- Order labs, tests, imaging, and procedures that will aid in the diagnosis of the patient. Will seek out the input of other professionals (Supervising MD's) or other colleagues, to best interpret any results. The information and conversations will be duly entered into the patients' chart.
- Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their healthcare plans.
- Monitor patients' progress, conduct follow-up visits, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Assist in the coordination of care by facilitating referrals to other healthcare providers and specialists, as needed.
- Contribute to the clinic's quality improvement initiatives, including participation in clinical audits, patient satisfaction surveys, and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and related fields through continuous professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and educational programs.
- 1 plus years of previous internal medicine/other specialty experience or 2 plus years of family practice experience. GI experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Must have an active: Colorado license, DEA Registration, and Colorado Board Certification
- Proven experience working in a gastroenterology clinic or a related setting, with a solid understanding of gastrointestinal disorders, diagnostic tests, and treatment modalities.
- Intermediate/Advance computer skills in software related to Practice Activities, Word, Excel and medical specialty products, (Intergy preferred). Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, able to interact effectively with other staff members to achieve organizational mission in a teamwork spirit and environment.

Location: Northglenn/Lakewood/Downtown Denver, CO
Gastroenterology of the Rockies is a rapidly growing Gastroenterology practice in Boulder County and the greater Denver Metro area with eight office locations and five Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our private Gastroenterology clinic. The ideal candidate will work closely with our gastroenterologists and healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care, diagnose, and treat various gastrointestinal disorders, and support the overall management of our clinic. The role requires excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
