    Our busy dental practice is growing, and we need a caring and competent certified dental assistant to support our North Denver team The ideal applicant will deliver high-quality dental services and patient care that leaves our patients feeling like family. You must be licensed with 2 years of EDDA experience and possess fantastic communication skills.     We offer benefits including health insurance, holiday pay, PTO, dental, and retirement

    Compensation:

    $27 - $30 hourly

    Responsibilities:
    • Maintain sterilization and room preparation
    • Take vital signs and update medical history as needed
    • Explain scheduled treatment, obtain consent forms, and deliver post-op instructions
    • Impressions and model fabrication
    • Radiographs and intraoral imaging
    • Assist with polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealant application
    • Chair-side assisting, including suctioning & 4-handed dentistry
    • Fillings placement
    • Temporary crowns fabrication
    • Nitrous administration and monitoring
    • Charting and note-taking
    • Proper maintenance of biohazards, sterilizers, amalgam separators, waterlines, and handpieces
    • Ensuring patient comfort throughout the procedure or examination
    • Coordinate follow-up appointments, Post-ops, and home care for patients
    • Specialty referrals and prescription care
    • Provide exceptional patient care and help the team stay on time
    • EDDA certification is a must
    Qualifications:
    • A minimum of three years of experience as a dental assistant
    • Sterilization and asepsis
    • OSHA/HIPAA knowledge
    • Able to take X-rays (digital) including pano, bitewings, vertical bitewings, FMX, and single PAs
    • Able to take and pour impressions and trim/prepare for bite guard/whitening tray fabrication
    • Coronal polishing, flossing, fluoride application, and hygiene instructions
    • Knowledge of general dentistry, including implants, clear aligners, major restorative and endodontics
    • Familiar with surgical and endodontic procedures, including implants
    • Restoration placement including crown seat and simple composite fillings
    • Relines and denture adjustments
    • EDDA certification and 2yrs experience
