The 72 room Hotel Indigo Boston Garden is located on Friend Street, in the heart of Downtown Boston's Bulfinch Triangle neighborhood.

The hotel is proximate to Boston's most exciting restaurants, neighborhoods and cultural attractions and is the closest hotel to TD Garden.

Guests enter the hotel's street-level lobby through the main entrance on Friend Street and are welcomed by the lobby's modern and comfortable sitting area.

On-site restaurant, Blake's offers a fresh take on hearty pub fare, embellished with a local New England sensibility. Other amenities include a business center and a fitness center, which features state-of-the-art treadmills, exercise bikes and elliptical cross-trainers


ABOUT THE ROLE
A Bell person welcomes our guests with a smile and a helping hand.

Working closely with the Front Desk, Management, and other hotel departments, they are primarily responsible for welcoming all guests to the hotel as well as bidding them farewell.

The Bell person assists with luggage, transportation, and other miscellaneous requests, provides information about various features of the hotel, but most importantly, interacts with guests to provide a wonderful hotel experience.

A Bell person is responsible for ensuring the lobby and entrance are presentable at all times.


Essential Duties:


  • Be able to greet guests upon arrival and assist with their luggage (if needed).
  • Be able to stay updated on information about the hotel and local area, including directions, transportation, and recommendations doer restaurants/attractions.
  • Be able to coordinate with hotel departments to ensure guests' needs are met.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk, for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Specific requirements of the role:


  • Greet all guests in the lobby in a warm and professional manner, make them feel welcome and anticipate their needs before they arise.
  • Escort guests checking in to their accommodations following hotel procedure.
  • Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Identify and explain guest room features to include use of such as air conditioning/heat units and thermostat controls, telephone, television, clock radio, guest services directory, mini bar, in room safe, lights, bathroom amenities, valet/laundry services, door lock.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the bell closet and bell carts daily.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Proven experience in customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with guests.
  • Hotel Experienced preferred.
  • Ability to lift and transport luggage.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to work various shifts; weekends and holidays when needed.
