    Do you like learning about the environment or working in your community on environmental projects? Are you interested in creating a unique experience and creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime? If yes, this virtual conservation internship is just for you

    In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, MobilizeGreen is offering a Virtual Youth Conservation Crew (YCC) Intern Program in the Summer of 2024. The Virtual Youth Conservation Crew is a three-week program where participants blend virtual learning sessions with logistics, planning, and project management skills. Participants daily schedules will blend virtual lessons and curriculum, with exploring Green STEM career opportunities and designated time for project planning.

    Led by experienced crew leaders, crew members participate in interactive workshops, learn from experts and professionals in the conservation field and explore topics of interest as they complete conservation-related projects with their peers.Program recruitment is targeted to attract youth ages 15-18 from diverse backgrounds, including socio-economically disadvantaged youth from urban and rural communities across the country. The programs stipend is $250 per week.

    Program Dates:

    Cohort 1: June 24, July 12, 2024

    Cohort 2: July 15, August 2, 2024

    Eligibility:

    • Must be at least 15 by June 1 of the program year and may not be older than 18 years old before August 31 of the program year
    • Must be enrolled in high school or a 2024 graduate
    • Must be able to fully commit to program dates and meeting times
    • Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the assigned work with or without reasonable accommodations
    • Have a valid U.S. Social Security number or have applied for a valid Social Security number by start of program
    • Must be able to obtain a work permit if needed
    • Must be a citizen of the United States or permanent resident
